at The Sound Room in Chesterfield, Thursday, Feb. 18, 4-6 pm
Customized Earbuds To Be Given Away to First 250 Attendees
The Sound Room, is hosting an event at its Chesterfield Showroom, located at 1661 Clarkson Rd, on Thursday, February 18th, from 4-6pm, and the first 250 people will receive FREE yurbuds – personally sized earbud enhancers. Visitors at The Sound Roomcan bring in their iPod, iPhone and iTouch to be fitted for yurbuds and see the “Size yur Ear!” App in action.
Theyurbuds (www.yurbuds.com) earbud enhancers are soft rubber tips that slip over the customer’s existing earbud-style headphones. The company has developed patent-pending yurScan™ technology that determines a person’s ear size through a digital picture, including a picture from an iPhone.
The yurbud earbud enhancers, when sized using the “Size yur Ear!” iPhone App are guaranteed not to fall out, remain comfortable for hours and deliver exceptional sound quality all for $20 (free for the first 250 people in attendance at The Sound Roomevent). Customers say they turn their iPod volume down 10-40% when using yurbuds with their iPod Nano.
Everyone who registers at the event will receive a 10% discount off any iPod docking station purchase at The Sound Room for the next 10 days and will have a chance to win an iPod Shuffle . Drawing for the Shuffle to be held on Saturday Feb 20th, attendance not required.
In January, demos of this App created lines 100 feet long, two people wide at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES). The New York Times picked yurbuds as one of the Top Four Picks of the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show as shown on CNBC.
The company’s presence was so strong at CES-2010 that media outlets such as ABC, CNBC, NY Times, LA Times, TWICE Magazine and MAC World, among many others, ran coverage of the story with titles like “What It Takes to “Wow” the CES Crowd: Yurbuds”.
