Jerry Boer joins The Sound Room as Vice President of Operations
December 10, 2007: CHESTERFIELD, MO – The Sound Room has announced the addition of Jerry Boer who is officially on board as vice president of operations. In his initial consulting capacity, Boer provided advice on operational efficiencies. He is now in charge of charting the company’s course of action based on his former business model analysis.
Boer comes to The Sound Room with a diverse background in retail and wholesale sales. He’s also provided systems consulting services to various manufacturers, developing and implementing process and system changes.
“Jerry already represents a very valuable addition to our team, primarily working with our staff members to ensure the company’s operational processes and procedures are on target overall,” said David Young, president of The Sound Room.
In his past professional experience, Boer worked for Zenith Electronics in Springfield, MO with an emphasis in engineering, assembly line and plastics management. During his previous tenure, Boer served as manufacturing manager for Summit Polymers in Columbia, MO, an automotive interiors manufacturer to Ford, Chrysler, Toyota, GM and Nissan specializing in TPS (Toyota Production Systems) Lean Manufacturing.
Boer has a bachelor of science in Economics from Washington University, and is currently in the process of completing a masters in human resources from the same renowned institution.
