July 9, 2008: CHESTERFIELD, Mo. – The Sound Room has announced the addition of Marken Gannon who is officially on board as Accounting and Sales Associate.  In her new role, she is responsible for a variety of duties, including accounts payable on the accounting side of the house and marketing and special events in the sales arena.

Gannon comes to The Sound Room from the University of Phoenix where she worked in a sales capacity as an Enrollment Counselor.  Gannon currently volunteers in the community for the GenNext program affiliated with United Way of Greater St. Louis, which invites young professionals in their twenties and thirties to get involved in meaningful volunteer opportunities.  She is also a member at large of the Alpha Gamma Delta alumni group.

“Marken represents an integral addition to our team.  From an administrative standpoint she is invaluable as she’s able to support our marketing efforts and coordinate special events on behalf of the company.  In addition to her sales-related duties, Marken also wears multiple hats and provides support for a myriad of accounting processes,” said David Young, president of The Sound Room.

Gannon originally attended Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo., and completed her under graduate education at the University of Missouri-St. Louis where she received a Bachelor of Science and Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and Management Organization Behavior.  Next on her list of pursuits is an MBA.  She currently resides in the Ballwin area.
