THE SOUND ROOM UPGRADES THE DEAN TEAM’S AUTOMOTIVE SHOWROOM

IMG_2585

The Dean Team’s showroom was upgraded recently by The Sound Room to better entertain and inform clients through both multi-zone, multi-source high-quality audio and video distribution systems.

The video system is capable of distributing up to six different video sources to an unlimited number of displays. Currently the system has four client facing displays and a large video wall comprised of six 55-inch high brightness LCD panels put in a 3×2 pattern to create a more than 12-foot diagonal screen. The set-up is designed to truly capture the customers’ eye from anywhere in the room.

The screen is capable of showing several different combos of the six sources so they can choose which combination best suits their needs. All of the rooms that have televisions or speakers are capable of mixing and matching the sources and independent control of the volume so they can be tailored to the different sound levels including when they’re entertaining clients. They also have multi-zone paging, that they can use through their own system for announcements and employee communication.

As part of the video distribution system, The Sound Room included two digital signage media players so that both Subaru and Volkswagen sides of the building can have independent signs for clients.

The system is easily controlled through a series of touch panels around the office and The Sound Room also put in scheduling to make it easier when they walk in and out for the day.

On this afternoons episode of Great Day St. Louis, Virginia Kerr met with Jan Zajac to discuss her home automation system from The Sound Room and how much easier it makes her life as a busy mom. With a home automation system, she can heat her pool, be alerted when her garage door is opened at 3:00am and keep an eye on her home when away.

You can watch the video in its entirety below.

COMPLETE HOME AUTOMATION | HVAC CONTROL

In our previous blog entry, we explored some of the benefits a fully automated security system could bring to your home. Aside from state-of-the-art security control, home automation is also perfect for controlling the thermostat in your home.

Many of our clients with Crestron home automation systems take full advantage of the HVAC control feature. Just like any other Crestron feature (security, audio-visual, lighting, shading, etc.) the thermostat in your home can be controlled from your Smartphone or tablet device.

For example, let’s say you have a vacation home at the Lake of the Ozarks. Before you hit the road, simply login to your system through the Crestron app and adjust the temperature to your liking. This way, the home will already be the perfect temperature when you and your guests arrive.

Having the ability to control the temperature of your home at all times can greatly increase the efficiency of your home. According to Lutron Electronics, a lighting and HVAC control manufacturer, implementing a temperature control panel in your home can lower your energy bill by 16%, greatly reducing your carbon footprint.

Just think: no more, “Oops, I forgot to turn the AC down when we left for the weekend.” You will have total control of your home and—better yet—your energy bill!

AFFORDABLE HOME AUTOMATION | KEEPING YOUR FAMILY SAFE

thumb-21

When you hear the term home automation, do words such as accessibility and affordability come to mind? Well, they should now! Once a luxury, home automation is now becoming a way of life for millions of American families.

At The Sound Room, we have been embracing the home automation movement for years—elevating home technology for hundreds of St. Louis families. The benefits of a fully integrated home range from HVAC control to security and lighting control—all powerful enough to transform your at-home living experience.

Let’s begin with safety. Integrating your home with a fully automated home security system will not only greatly reduce the risk of unwanted intrusions, but will also allow you to check on your home while you are away. Features such as video surveillance, automated locks and motion sensors will make your home the safest on the block.

Affordable home automation also pays dividends in reduced worry for families with children. A system installed by our home security division, Sound Security, allows the homeowner to check on their family from a Smartphone or tablet device remotely.

In addition to 24/7 video surveillance, the homeowner will also be afforded the power to lock doors with their Smartphone—no matter where they are. The way it works is quite simple: Your system allows you to remotely lock and unlock your doors so you can let people in without giving them a key or a code. You can also receive e-mail or text messages to your Smartphone every time someone unlocks or locks your door, giving you the peace of mind that your home is secure at all times.
