THE SOUND ROOM EMPLOYEE PROJECT UPDATES

thumb-5

Our employees often have amazing stories about projects they’re working on or reasons why their clients chose The Sound Room. Here is a brief snapshot at 3 of our latest projects from our employee’s point of view.

Andy Hauck:

Clients often tell us they want a new TV installed over their existing fireplace but they do not want to see the wires and do not want to worry about patching holes and repainting walls.  While it is not always possible, we can often retro fit wiring and power where they are needed without creating any additional holes or requiring patching and painting.

We recently installed a TV and surround system for a client who owned a 20 year old home in the Chesterfield area.  The client wanted the TV installed over a wood burning fireplace with a full brick chimney and to have all the equipment hidden away in the existing cabinets.  Our installers were able to retro fit all the necessary wiring without cutting extra holes.  The whole project took less than a day to install and program and the client was thrilled with the outcome.  Here are a few pictures of the before, during and after.

At The Sound Room, we can help you find a TV that best fits your sports watching needs.

There is no better time to set up a home theater system than for March Madness; if you can’t make it to the game in person the next best thing is watching the game from the comfort of your home on a 4k TV. Here are some features that will make your March Madness viewing experience even more enjoyable:

• 4K Ultra HD TV: 4K offers four times the resolution of today’s 1080p televisions and will enhance your existing HD content for the best viewing experience.
• Projectors: A projector will create a screen size up to 200 inches- that is sixteen and a half feet of magnificent basketball!
• Lighting, acoustics and sound proofing to enhance the way you experience the game.
• A great remote! You deserve it after all.

There’s nothing worse than a system emergency in the middle of the big game, but you can rest easy knowing that we offer on-call technicians and an in-house service department; you won’t even need to put down your basketball brackets.

We have over 30 years of experience helping thousands of satisfied clients put audio and video together in their homes. COMPLETE HOME AUTOMATION | HVAC CONTROL

thumb-19

In our previous blog entry, we explored some of the benefits a fully automated security system could bring to your home. Aside from state-of-the-art security control, home automation is also perfect for controlling the thermostat in your home.

Many of our clients with Crestron home automation systems take full advantage of the HVAC control feature. Just like any other Crestron feature (security, audio-visual, lighting, shading, etc.) the thermostat in your home can be controlled from your Smartphone or tablet device.

For example, let’s say you have a vacation home at the Lake of the Ozarks. Before you hit the road, simply login to your system through the Crestron app and adjust the temperature to your liking. This way, the home will already be the perfect temperature when you and your guests arrive.

Having the ability to control the temperature of your home at all times can greatly increase the efficiency of your home. According to Lutron Electronics, a lighting and HVAC control manufacturer, implementing a temperature control panel in your home can lower your energy bill by 16%, greatly reducing your carbon footprint.

Just think: no more, “Oops, I forgot to turn the AC down when we left for the weekend.” You will have total control of your home and—better yet—your energy bill!
